Dog Ownership: Key to Better Senior Health

University of Missouri researchers recently found that dog ownership can aid seniors’ health as they get to develop bonds with their pet, exercise, and basically gain social advantages. Not only that, for bonding more with canine pals results to frequent walks with it – eventually leading to lower body mass index, more social interactions, and lesser visits to the physician.

With these findings, experts thus suggest that older adults own pets to take advantage of the mentioned health perks. Rebecca Johnson, professor from the MU College of Veterinary Medicine, also recommended posing pet-friendly rules in senior home care facilities. That said, it could just be great news that our home care service capabilities cater to such needs.
